Why Maintenance Matters

Booster fans are installed to improve airflow in long or restrictive dryer vent runs — but without maintenance, they can do more harm than good. Over time, lint builds up on the fan blades, throwing them off balance and stressing the motor. Moisture from dryer exhaust can also collect inside the fan housing, leading to rust, corrosion, or motor failure.

 

These issues not only shorten the life of the fan, they also reduce dryer efficiency, increase energy use, and pose a potential fire hazard.

 

Regular cleaning keeps the system safe, balanced, and running the way it should.
